Majority of Germans prefer Harris over Trump in US elections

According to a survey conducted by the Ipsos research institute and published on Monday, approximately two thirds of German voters are supporting Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, in the upcoming US presidential elections.

In the upcoming November 5 elections, only 12% of the voters would support the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. Meanwhile, another 12% of the voters have expressed no preference for any candidate.

The majority of political parties in Germany, with the exception of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), expressed support for Harris. Among AfD followers, 42% favored Trump, while 31% favored Harris.

Men in Germany showed a higher inclination towards supporting Trump, with 16% of them expressing their support compared to only 8% of women.

According to a recent online survey conducted by Ipsos, 1,000 German nationals between the ages of 18 and 75 were asked a series of questions on October 2 and 3.
