Republicans made a strategic move to engage with Black voters in Milwaukee on Wednesday, urging them to make use of the newly available early voting option in the state.
Texas Congressman Wesley Hunt and Wisconsin State Senator Julian Bradley, both Black Republicans, engaged in a meaningful conversation with a small group of voters at the Milwaukee GOP Black Outreach Center on King Drive.
The event aimed to motivate voters to cast their votes early and support the “yes” vote on a referendum spearheaded by Republican lawmakers. The objective was to ensure that Wisconsin does not permit noncitizens to vote in the future. Additionally, the event aimed to rally support for former President Donald Trump and other Republican candidates in the upcoming November elections.
According to Wisconsin GOP Chairman Brian Schimming, Milwaukee will play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the Electoral College. He confidently stated, “Kamala Harris will find herself unemployed once the election day is over.”
Schimming mentioned that Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance will be making more visits to Wisconsin in the final weeks leading up to Election Day. Both Democrats and Republicans have been actively campaigning in the state in order to gain the support of undecided voters and the Black community.
A recent poll conducted by the New York Times/Siena College revealed a concerning drop in support for Harris among Black men, with a decrease of 15 points. Additionally, a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in August showed that 13% of Black voters expressed their inclination towards supporting or leaning towards Trump.
“We stand as the final barrier against Tony Evers and his radical agenda,” Bradley stated, alluding to the Democratic governor of Wisconsin. “They have redrawn our maps, and we are on the verge of losing seats. Therefore, to safeguard our majorities, it is imperative that we complete our entire ballot.”
Bradley claimed that Democrats were attempting to force him out of the Senate through the implementation of newly revised legislative districts.
Hunt highlighted the importance of focusing on key issues such as the economy, affordable housing, and border security.
“Let us not allow the left to divide us based on race. It is crucial that we unite as Americans first and foremost, recognizing the progress we have made,” emphasized Hunt.
Charlene Abughrin, a resident of Milwaukee aged 47, expressed her intention to back the Republican Party in the upcoming November elections due to their commitment to honesty and truthfulness.
Abughrin shared that she started supporting the Republican party in 2016 during Trump’s presidential campaign. She holds the belief that Vice President Kamala Harris will be unable to enhance the nation’s economic condition due to the Democratic party’s century-long rule, which she perceives as leading to a continuous decline.
She said that the four years that Trump was in office were the only good ones.
Bob Israel, a 57-year-old resident of Chicago, attended the event as part of Turning Point USA. The organization graciously supported him by arranging a hotel stay and providing transportation funds, enabling him to travel to Wisconsin and engage in door-to-door campaigning and make his voice heard.
Turning Point, a dark-money organization with far-right leanings, has actively participated in mobilizing support for President Trump in crucial battleground states.

Additionally, they acknowledged Harris’s pivotal role in successfully overseeing an $83 million project aimed at replacing and repairing lead pipes that were contaminated in Milwaukee.
According to Crowley, at the beginning of the pandemic, Trump failed to provide any assistance to the people he represents.
