Police Believe Wisconsin Father Faked Drowning to Start a New Life in Europe

According to a report, it has been revealed that a Wisconsin father, who was initially thought to have drowned in a kayaking accident, actually faked his death and escaped to Europe. This shocking discovery has left his family behind as he embarked on a new life.

Ryan Borgwardt’s family became concerned when he didn’t come back from his kayaking adventure at Green Lake, Wisconsin on August 12.

Law enforcement, accompanied by local volunteers, conducted an extensive search and uncovered his overturned kayak, life jacket, and other personal belongings. These findings led them to the conclusion that he had potentially drowned, as reported by Upper Michigans Source.

In early October, as search efforts continued, authorities came across a significant clue. It was revealed that Borgwardt’s name had been flagged by Canadian law enforcement the day after he went missing.

Upon delving into his digital trail, it became apparent that Borgwardt had carefully orchestrated his vanishing act. He took great care in obtaining a fresh passport and discreetly transferred his funds to offshore banks. Furthermore, it was discovered that he maintained communication with a woman residing abroad.

After uncovering Borgwardt’s deceit, the authorities decided to halt the search operations in Green Lake. The sheriff, in a public statement, appealed to Borgwardt to make contact with his family, highlighting the profound emotional distress his wife and three children endured while under the impression that he had passed away.

As of now, we have not been able to locate Borgwardt, and he has not reached out to authorities or his family.
