U.S. Postal Service Celebrates Betty White’s Legacy with Special Stamp

Betty White, the beloved actress and cultural icon, will soon be immortalized on a U.S. postage stamp, as the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) announces plans to honor her with a stamp debuting next year.

In a statement released on Friday, the USPS praised White as an “icon of American television,” noting her remarkable seven-decade career that endeared her to audiences of all ages, right up until her 90s. The stamp design features a joyful image of White, taken in 2010, where her warm smile is set against a vibrant purple backdrop.

Best known for her role on The Golden Girls, White passed away in 2021 at the age of 99. This new stamp serves as a lasting tribute to her enduring legacy, ensuring her place in American pop culture for years to come.
