Donald Trump Jr. Accuses Biden Administration of Escalating Conflict with Russia
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President-elect Donald Trump, has accused the Biden administration of attempting to provoke “World War 3” by providing Ukraine with advanced weaponry capable of striking targets inside Russia. His comments came in response to President Joe Biden’s recent authorization for Ukraine to use U.S.-made long-range missiles against Russian forces.
On Sunday, Biden approved the Ukrainian military’s use of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to target Russian troops in the Kursk region. The missiles, known for their 190-mile range and significant blast radius, mark a shift in U.S. policy. Previously, the administration had hesitated to authorize such weapons, citing concerns about escalating tensions with Russia.
Reacting to the decision, Trump Jr. alleged that the “military-industrial complex” was intentionally heightening the conflict to undermine his father’s efforts to foster peace upon taking office.
“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” Trump Jr. wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!”
Trump Jr., who has been outspoken in his criticism of the Biden administration, is reportedly playing a pivotal role on his father’s transition team. This includes assembling nominees for Trump’s upcoming cabinet, a process expected to draw significant controversy given the former president’s history of contentious appointments.
The Biden administration’s decision to approve the use of long-range missiles comes as the conflict in Ukraine shows no signs of abating. Analysts suggest the move signals increased U.S. support for Kyiv, but critics like Trump Jr. warn it risks escalating tensions with Moscow, potentially drawing the U.S. closer to direct involvement in the war.
