Mike Lindell Expresses Readiness to Lead Election Security Efforts Under Trump
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has expressed his willingness to take on a key role in ensuring election security if President-elect Donald Trump selects him to head a new election security agency. In a recent interview with Wired, Lindell emphasized his ongoing commitment to securing U.S. elections, particularly by eliminating electronic voting machine companies.
Lindell, a prominent supporter of Trump and a vocal proponent of election fraud theories, stated that his efforts to address alleged election irregularities have not slowed down following Trump’s 2024 victory.
“I’ve been trying to get rid of these electronic voting machine companies in the United States for four years,” Lindell explained, reiterating that his mission is far from over. He hopes that the challenge will become easier moving forward.
Despite spending an estimated $40 million of his own money in his pursuit to prove the 2020 election was stolen, Lindell maintains that his work continues unabated, even during personal downtime. “I haven’t taken a break,” he remarked, sharing that he worked during his annual hunting trip, where he kept busy with his phone.
Lindell expressed hope that Trump would create a federal bureau specifically focused on election security. He offered to lead the effort, claiming that his team would be ready to “plug right in” to such a mission.
Currently, election security falls under the jurisdiction of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a federal entity responsible for securing U.S. election infrastructure. Following the 2024 election, CISA Director Jen Easterly reaffirmed that there was no evidence of any significant malicious activity affecting the integrity of the election process.
