Viewers noticed that when talking about X, George seemed to be disgusted with the state of country music. Social media was flooded with comments and reactions to this, with many finding it quite amusing.

A comment was made stating, “George Strait is sitting there at the CMAs, asking himself, ‘Where am I? Country has gone to this?'” One person on social media expressed, “All I see on my timeline are pictures of George Strait looking disappointed.”

One person in the audience couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of George Strait trying to make sense of what was happening on stage. Bailey Zimmerman was doing cartwheels during the CMAs, leaving the country music legend a little confused.

The 2024 CMA Awards started with a bang when Chris Stapleton took the stage and delivered a mesmerizing performance. The audience was in for a treat as he was joined by a surprise guest, adding an extra element of excitement to the night.

With his signature black pants, shirt, and jacket, complemented by his iconic cowboy hat, the country legend effortlessly captivated the audience from the very beginning.

Post Malone made his CMA debut alongside him, following the release of his first country album, F-1 Trillion, in August. The rapper-turned-country star effortlessly matched Chris’s attire, donning a black suit and a cream-colored cowboy hat. Together, they exuded an unexpected yet harmonious energy on stage.

They came together to perform “California Sober,” a song from Post Malone’s first country album.

After the heartfelt tributes, George stepped onto the stage, expressing his gratitude to his fans, friends, and family. He specifically mentioned his wife of 53 years, Norma, with deep emotion.

I am grateful to all these talented artists who have performed my songs that I have recorded throughout the years. It is truly incredible to hear all of you bring them to life. ‘I’m very happy that I acquired them before you did.
