Sister seeks justice for brother’s fatal beating, decries inhumanity of the act

“My brother’s death is an act of pure evil. He was a perfectly healthy man, and yet they beat him and took his life. It’s nothing short of inhumane,” expressed his sister with great sorrow.

Mouser went through several surgeries, including the removal of a part of his brain, during the year following the attack. Unfortunately, he remained on life support and couldn’t leave it.

Although the police have yet to publicly announce any suspects or a motive for the attack, his sister has her own theories.

After the passing of their mother, David Mouser had inherited some money. Even though it wasn’t a large sum, it was still valuable enough to be a target for theft.

According to his sister, the fact that he had received a large sum of money, combined with his learning disability which limited his education level to that of a high school student, could have potentially made him vulnerable to being targeted by others.

According to online reports, Mouser had been living a lavish lifestyle lately. He had purchased a Cadillac with cash and was frequently going out. Prior to his assault, Mouser had contacted the police multiple times to report incidents of fraud, theft, and harassment. Additionally, it has been reported that he had bought an engagement ring and necklace for a woman, but later demanded them back after their split.

According to the Marion County Coroner’s Office, Mouser’s passing was initially classified as a homicide.

Mouser’s sister is eager to discover the person or group responsible for the attack and ensure that they are held responsible for their actions.

“She said she needs to find closure for David,” her words were filled with emotion. “There has to be someone out there who knows something.”
