After experiencing a major crash on the final lap of the NTT IndyCar Series race at Iowa Speedway, the driver from Idaho racing for A.J. Foyt was taken to a nearby hospital for imaging. The No. 41 Chevy became airborne and rolled multiple times before eventually coming to a stop upside down, resulting in one of the biggest crashes of his career.
The team announced that Sting Ray has been discharged after undergoing further evaluation at Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center. Sting Ray’s family and AJ Foyt Racing expressed their appreciation to the AMR Safety Team for their prompt response, IndyCar Medical staff for their meticulous care, and IndyCar for the exceptional safety measures implemented in their race cars. These safety standards enabled Sting Ray to escape unscathed from a dreadful accident. The team also expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support and well-wishes from everyone.
