Fox Crossing Fire Remains Under Investigation

A fire that occurred on Friday has left a family of two adults and two children displaced, along with the unfortunate loss of their four pets. Additionally, a firefighter was injured during the incident. The incident took place in Fox Crossing, WI.

On July 19th, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Fox Crossing Fire Department received a call to respond to a residence located in the 1000 block of Cold Spring Road. The property in question was a single-story, single-family home, according to an official statement released by the department.

The Appleton FD and Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue were called to assist at the scene of the fire through a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) alert.

The firefighters successfully contained the fire within just thirty minutes.

Rescue teams entered the home to conduct search and rescue operations and came across the distressing sight of four deceased pets.

A firefighter sustained a heat-related injury and received medical treatment.

According to the statement, the family of four who were displaced are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

Currently, there is no estimation of the damage caused by the fire. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
