Wisconsin Alliant Energy employees return home after assisting with Illinois tornado cleaning activities

According to Alliant Energy, a group of workers from Wisconsin have returned home after providing assistance in cleaning up the aftermath of tornadoes in Illinois. The energy company reported on Monday that these workers were part of the team that aided in the efforts to recover from the natural disaster.

Northern Illinois energy company ComEd sought assistance following the touchdown of 25 confirmed tornadoes in Chicago and the surrounding areas last week.

Nearly 430,000 customers were left without power by the energy company.

Over 70 employees of Alliant Energy hailing from different cities of Wisconsin, such as Beloit, Janesville, Mauston, Fond du Lac, Ripon, Portage, Verona, and Baraboo, lent a helping hand in restoring power to the affected areas.
