A 12-year-old boy became a hero by saving his father from a bear attack during a hunting trip in Wisconsin.
Owen Beierman shot the black bear that was attacking his dad and pinning him down.
The father and son had been tracking the wounded bear when it unexpectedly charged at them.
Despite firing several shots and missing, the bear attacked Mr. Beierman.
At that moment, Owen intervened and made the life-saving shot.
Although bear attacks are uncommon in Wisconsin, this incident ended happily due to Owen’s quick thinking.
His father sustained some injuries but is recovering well.
