Rose Chavis was taken into custody in Marion County on Thursday and is facing two charges of neglect of a dependent, which resulted in bodily injury to her 40-year-old daughter.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, the victim, who has been diagnosed with Cerebral palsy and paralysis on the left side, as well as other physical and mental impairments, is classified as an “endangered adult” under the law.
In September, the victim fell out of bed, and despite her mother and caregiver being aware of the incident, she was left unassisted for an entire week.

In a report by local NBC affiliate WTHR, they shared a video capturing the moment when Chavis was apprehended by officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. The footage showed the officers placing handcuffs on Chavis.
