Trump’s New Threat: All Immigrants, “Illegal” or Not, Are Now in Danger

Donald Trump has once again followed the playbook of fascists by asserting that immigrants in the United States who have legal status are not truly legal.

In a recent interview on Newsmax, Trump expressed his indifference towards the legal processes undergone by Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. To him, their status remains “illegal.”

“I mean, take a look at Springfield, where 30,000 illegal immigrants have been brought in. They may have used a certain loophole, but as far as I’m concerned, they are still illegal immigrants.

These individuals are causing immense harm to the towns, to the entire community, and ultimately, they will bring about the destruction of the state!” he passionately expressed.

Haitian immigrants residing in Springfield currently have temporary protected status, a designation that Donald Trump has vowed to eliminate if he becomes president.

The Republican nominee’s disregard for proper legal procedures is concerning, as it expands the group of individuals he aims to displace as part of his ambitious plan for the largest mass deportations in American history.

Whether someone is considered legal or illegal in this country seems to depend solely on whether they can be conveniently blamed by the previous administration.

During a campaign event in North Carolina last month, JD Vance, the vice presidential nominee, expressed his stance on the legal status of immigrants.

He made it clear that he does not consider the actions of Kamala Harris, such as granting them legal status, to change their designation as illegal aliens. Vance firmly believes that an illegal action from Harris does not alter the legal status of an immigrant.

According to CNN, there are approximately between 10,000 and 12,000 Haitian immigrants in Springfield. However, President Trump has been subtly implying that the number of Haitian immigrants in the city is increasing every time he mentions it.

Moreover, he has been using fabricated figures and exaggerated stories to falsely portray the negative impact of immigrant communities on American cities.
