Michigan Governor Whitmer, Pennsylvania Attorney General Shapiro, and Wisconsin Governor Evers join forces for bus tour promoting Harris in battleground states

The Democratic governors of the “blue wall” states kicked off a bus tour on Friday to generate enthusiasm and backing for Vice President Harris. Their focus is on Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

The Driving Forward blue wall bus tour is all set to start, in collaboration with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) and her Fight Like Hell PAC, as well as Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D) and Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers (D).

According to a statement by Whitmer, there is only one ticket in this race that prioritizes middle-class families with an economic plan, which is Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz.

Whitmer further mentioned that she, along with her friends Tony Evers, Josh Shapiro, and others, will be hitting the road to ensure that every Midwest voter is aware of this.

The tour is set to kick off on Monday in Wisconsin, with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), the vice presidential candidate, leading the way. The tour will then make its way through Michigan, where Whitmer and Shapiro will join in, before finally wrapping up in Pennsylvania.

In a bid to bolster her standing in the region, Harris’s supporters have launched a new initiative. Former President Obama recently took to the campaign trail in Pittsburgh, rallying support for Harris and aiming to generate excitement around her candidacy.

Recent polling in swing states reveals a deadlock between Harris and former President Trump. In Michigan and Wisconsin, they are tied, while in Pennsylvania, the former president holds a slight lead of 1 percentage point.

According to an Emerson College Polling/The Hill survey released on Thursday, these swing states are crucial battlegrounds in the upcoming election.
