Elon Musk, a Billionaire and MAGA Supporter, Plans to Spend Millions on Targeting Swing State Voters for Trump

Elon Musk, the billionaire behind the MAGA movement, has a new strategy in mind to support Donald Trump’s campaign. According to a report by The Washington Post, Musk is planning to recruit a team of canvassers in swing states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Their mission? To encourage voter turnout and rally support for Trump in these crucial states.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, publicly declared his support for Trump after surviving an assassination attempt in July. Prior to this incident, he had discreetly established a pro-Trump super PAC.

Elon Musk has frequently hinted at his Republican leanings, expressing his views on his X platform by tweeting, “There is either a red wave this November or America is doomed,” back in March. Even before openly embracing the MAGA movement, Musk had been discreetly contributing to party causes through his donations.

America PAC has given a platform for the world’s wealthiest individual and his affluent Silicon Valley associates, such as Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, billionaire venture capitalist Douglas Leone, the Winklevoss twins, and PayPal co-founder Ken Howery, to express their unwavering endorsement. They have contributed substantial amounts of money, totaling tens of millions, with the aim of mobilizing Trump supporters in crucial swing states.

According to Federal Election Commission filings, the committee has already invested $87 million in the presidential race. The Washington Post reported that two-thirds of this amount has been allocated to field operations.

The results of the effort have been mixed.

According to a report by The Post, Elon Musk, known for his impulsive nature and previous firings at his companies, has been actively involved in the operations of America PAC. He has taken a hands-on approach and has been closely overseeing the organization’s activities, which has resulted in the termination of several vendors since July.

According to the Post, the PAC faced a setback in its plans for Arizona and Nevada in July. Due to the chaos and high turnover caused by extreme heatwaves, the organization had to start over and readjust its strategies. In addition, the PAC has been facing difficulties in recruiting and retaining campaign workers.

“How many individuals do you know who have the luxury of taking time off to go door-to-door?” they asked the newspaper. “Who are these people? At first, it may sound appealing, but once you actually go out there and work under the scorching summer heat, you come to the realization that it’s not for me.”

According to reports, Musk disregarded the advice of PAC advisers who warned him about moving too quickly. He seemingly believed that simply approaching people with clipboards and explaining the importance of the situation would be enough to convince them.

In the last weeks of the campaign, Musk is focused on using the PAC’s significant funds to support the most proactive get-out-the-vote efforts in the MAGA community.

According to The Post, there is a plan to hire a large number of canvassers who will be paid between $20 and $40 per hour. The focus will be on the swing states, such as Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, which will play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the election.

“If Trump loses, I’m screwed,” Musk confessed during a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, the former host of Fox News.
