Harris criticizes Trump’s lack of understanding on women’s health care

Vice President Harris delivered a powerful message to women voters during a rally in Wisconsin. She confidently stated that former President Trump lacks an understanding of women’s healthcare, challenging his claims.

During her rally, she showcased video clips of Trump making promises to protect women and suggesting that they would no longer be concerned about abortion if he were elected. She also highlighted his praise for the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Additionally, she played a clip from a recent Fox News town hall in Georgia where Trump referred to himself as the “father of IVF.”

During the rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Harris responded to Donald’s claim about Roe v. Wade by stating, “It’s important to clarify that not everyone wanted Roe v. Wade to be overturned. There are real consequences to restricting access to reproductive healthcare.

Women are tragically dying from sepsis due to lack of necessary care. Additionally, couples who are in the process of IVF treatment are being abruptly cut off, hindering their dreams of starting a family.”

She added, “Now he claims to be the father of IVF? I mean, what does that even mean?” She was referring to her rival’s remarks on in vitro fertilization (IVF).

During the town hall, Trump highlighted his role in defending fertility treatment, which was thrown into uncertainty by conservative Supreme Court justices overturning Roe.

During the Thursday rally, Harris emphasized her commitment to being a president for all Americans, irrespective of their news sources. She highlighted her recent interview with Fox News, while pointing out that former President Trump participated in a Univision town hall on the same night. During this event, he was questioned about the events of January 6, 2021.

During a rally in La Crosse, Wisconsin, earlier on Thursday, Harris encountered hecklers who were demonstrating. Rather than getting deterred, she responded with a witty remark, suggesting that they should redirect their attention to a smaller rally taking place down the street.

According to the average of polls from Decision Desk HQ/The Hill, Trump currently holds a slim lead over Harris in Wisconsin, with a margin of less than 1 percentage point.
