Three children from Utah who had been missing since 2022 have been located and safely reunited with their mother

Three children from Utah, who went missing in 2022, have been discovered alive and have been reunited with their mother. The Fredonia Police Department reported that the children had been residing with individuals associated with the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Mormon fundamentalist group.

According to ABC affiliate KTVX, the police have stated that the trio went missing in late October of 2022 while they were in Beaver County, Utah. In August, the small town of Fredonia authorities received a tip about the children’s location. The information revealed that the children’s father was responsible for planning and executing their disappearance.

With the assistance of family members affiliated with the FLDS, the children’s whereabouts were successfully concealed. A joint effort between the Arizona and Utah agencies led to the liberation of the children on September 1. Upon arrival, police officers discovered that the children were under the care of their grandmother.

The children’s rescue operation was carried out with the assistance of various law enforcement agencies and volunteers. The Kanab City Police Department, Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Kane County SWAT, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigation, and volunteers from the children’s family all played a crucial role in ensuring their safety.

The Fredonia Police Department expresses its gratitude to everyone involved for their valuable assistance in this matter. According to the official statement, the children are currently under the care of their mother and are safe, while the investigation is ongoing.

A woman and her family were reportedly abducted by her boyfriend around 2 am earlier this month, and now there is news of their rescue. The police issued an amber alert for the family after they were allegedly taken at gunpoint by the boyfriend from their home on the 15000 block of Loerch Road.

On Friday, authorities announced that Nikkole Dobson, 33, and her four children – Brandon, 14, Haley, 11, Gracie, 7, and Chloe, 3 – were allegedly abducted by Dobson’s boyfriend, Chad Aanerud, 35. According to Fox affiliate KSMP, Aanerud was linked to a murder at a nearby location before he proceeded to set fire to the victim’s house.

Fortunately, the family was found safe and sound in the car of the mother’s boyfriend. According to the report, Aanderud was apprehended by the police once the family was discovered in his vehicle. The authorities are currently investigating the kidnapping, and the specific details leading to the arrest remain unclear.

Authorities had no knowledge of the direction the man had taken his captives before they were rescued. They warned the public to exercise caution, as he was armed and considered dangerous.
